Research Interests
My research is focused on the Amyloid-beta peptide, which is a believed to play a major role in Alzheimer’s disease.
Currently, I am working on artificial bilayers system to study the interaction of this peptide with the membrane
using electrophysiological recordings from planar lipid bilayers. I also work on cell culture model to investigate
the effect of A-beta to the cell membrane. Eventually, I would like to develop a functional assay to test a library of
therapeutically molecules whether they can inhibit the toxicity of A-beta in both artificial and cell membranes.
